Dear Friends and Supporters of Downton 4 Family (D4F),
We continue to support families and focus on empowering them to find their way to a better place.
Here is a mini update:
ACTIVITIES
- We are thrilled to have some newly trained Family Mentors
- Co-op and Salisbury Foodbank – we continue to collect donations from the collection point in the Co-op. Anyone in need of a food parcel and who has an authorised voucher is now able to collect from Downton Baptist Church on a Monday between 9 and 11 am
- We held a training evening at the Brian Whitehead Sports and Social Club with speaker Anna Elston
FUNDRAISING
- New Christmas card for 2021 is available from our online gift shop
- Our online gift shop has a new range of local gifts including chocolate, art and ‘Bath & Body’ treats…have a peak…gift shop
- Charity Cars have been working hard chauffeuring for weddings and special occasions in their vintage cars and donating all the funds raised to us… see more here…Charity Cars
- We have been awarded this year’s Co-op Local Community Fund. Please consider making us your chosen charity by going to: https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/60480
- The Bull in Downton is running a weekly quiz, some of the proceeds of which will come to D4F! The quiz is every Wednesday at 8pm. Teams of 4 – 6 people.
