Our Privacy Statement

In May 2018 the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
came into effect. This Privacy Statement is compliant with its requirements and is
available to all D4F service users.
Downton 4 Family is a charity that works in Downton and the surrounding area to
support families facing difficult times. Families are referred to us from a variety of
sources. You will have been asked if you would like to be referred. At this stage we
collect data about you (including your name and those of your children, your address
and contact details and the details of your children’s schools and GP) to enable us to
build a picture of your family.
We gather further data about you and your family when we meet you to help us
understand your needs and how we can work with you. You will be told what we are
collecting, you can see it and usually we leave copies of it with you.
We do not pass on information about you without first asking your permission. And
we only pass on information to people who we work with to help you for example,
your child’s school or another specialist service such as a charity.
You have the right to withdraw your consent for us to store, share and use your
information for these purposes at any time, or change the way we communicate with
you, by using the contact details below:
